Who is eligible for SSVF Housing and Veterans Village?

SSVF– Veterans experiencing literal homelessness or who are about to experience homelessness, that also fall into the SSVF Program income eligibility requirements. For more information, please call the office to speak with the SSVF team.

  • Veteran is defined as: a person who served in the active military, naval, air, or space service, regardless of length of service, and who was discharged or released therefrom, excluding anyone who received a dishonorable discharge from the Armed Forces or was discharged or dismissed from the Armed Forces by reason of the sentence of general court-martial.

Veteran’s Village– The Veterans Village is open to both men and women regardless of discharge status or time in service. Repeated or major criminal offenses may be a disqualifier. To check eligibility, please ask for a screening at Central Oregon Veterans Outreach (COVO).

What days and hours does COVO accept outreach donations?

Donations are accepted Monday through Friday from 9am until 4pm.

COVO’s Current Outreach Needs:

  • Propane
  • Hand Warmers
  • Gloves
  • Warm winter coats
  • Sleeping bags
  • Warm socks
  • Thermal underwear
  • Canned meat, soups, fruit, and chili
  • Tarps
  • Tents
  • Travel sized hygiene items
What are COVO’s hours and days of operation?

COVO is open Monday through Friday 9am until 4pm.
